St. Louis Food Blogger Potluck!

Hope you’re making it through the week! Mine has been so much more relaxing since we are in between clients at work right now. I don’t come home exhausted and have energy to do laundry, clean the kitchen, and even blog! Not that I don’t enjoy my job…I just like energy :)

Remember those blue cheese and chive straws from yesterday? Well, I made them for last weekend’s St. Louis Food Blogger Potluck!

Back when I participated in the Share Our Strength Blogger Bake Sale, Stefani from the Cupcake Project mentioned that back in the day, the St. Louis food bloggers used to get together for the occasional potluck, but hadn’t done so in quite some time. Being a relatively new STL blogger, I thought it sounded like a great idea to revive the tradition!

She graciously offered to host the event at her house – I arrived early to help with set up and a bit of cleaning, and waited for our guests! There were some great offerings…

Jon from Shoot to Cook brought his amazing bread

Iron Stef brought Edamummus,  the Food Snob brought a caprese-type salad, and MoEats brought a corn salad.

Kimberly from Rhubarb and Honey brought that crunchy and creamy jalapeno dip you see there on the left, and I can’t for the life of me remember who brought that delicious salad up top!

Can you spy my straws on the lower right?

Those caprese-bites on the right were from City in a Jar. And that white, creamy soup down there? That was my other dish – recipe to come in the next Eating Through St. Louis!

Other dishes included The Sweet Touch’s pulled pork, Katie’s Corn Soup, Tony’s strawberry ice cream, and Sweet Art’s macarons, as well as dishes from Eat Laugh Love, Kitchen Parade, and The Delish Dish. I apologize to those that I can’t remember. There was so much mingling, I couldn’t keep track of all the food!

We all had a great time, and this needs to happen again very, very soon!

Stay tuned until tomorrow, when I’ll show you the yumminess that was the above-pictured creamy summer soup. Happy Wednesday!

Question: What’s the blogging community like in your area?

This week’s eats: Quinoa-Stuffed Grilled Squash, Blue Cheese and Chive Straws
