Foodbuzz Tastemaker: Tervis Tumblers

*If you missed it yesterday, check out the latest Slow Food dinner, a culinary tour of Mexico with Milagro Modern Mexican!*

As part of the Foodbuzz Featured Publisher program, I have the option to join their Tastemaker program. Basically, they send you opportunities to review products and if you apply and are then accepted, they send you the product.

I only apply for these products if I know it’s an all natural (and/or organic) brand, or it’s something I would typically purchase (i.e. I’m not going to apply for Oreo’s). Sometimes, the product isn’t food, it’s just food-related. And this time? I couldn’t turn it down.

Tervis tumblers are all the rage among some circles, and there’s good reason. The biggest reason?

They don’t sweat.

Meh, drink sweating. What’s the big deal? Condensation, schmondensation.

It’s a big deal.

Sweating is annoying (on people and on drinks), but it also ruins tabletops. Hence, the coaster. But coasters stick, and chip, and get all wet from said condensation!

OK so this is obviously a first world problem but if you have the opportunity to drink from a sweat-free glass, I’m sure you’d take it. And if you did, it would surely be a Tervis tumbler.

According to their website, their tumblers are “virtually indestructible” and work for both  hot and cold drinks, keep them their proper temperature for longer periods of time. The best part is that you can get them with almost any character, team, or photo that you want.

So I received a Tastemaker tumbler, and immediately realized that I already owned Tervis tumblers! These cups are nearly 10 years old and have survived three moves, and they still do their job. They’re also pretty easy on the eyes, with that maize and blue M on the inside ;)

Anyway, I’m not one for fancy drinks so I decided to keep it simple with some fresh, local apple cider…with an added surprise :)

Vodka + apple cider = yum! It’d be even better with spiced rum.

You may or may not have a Tervis tumbler lying around the house but either way, they’ll save your tabletops and last forever. And they’re realllly good at holding apple cider + a kick drinks :)

Question: Do you own a Tervis tumbler? Have you heard of the brand?
