Detox Recipe Roundup for Clean Eating

I had grand intentions of getting a blog post up between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but I’m now convinced those days live in a time vortex, a Bermuda Triangle filled with good intentions and to-do lists. Instead, I visited family, slept in, ran a few errands, and prepared for our trip to Denver. No blog post to speak of in those few days – I’m just glad I remembered to shower.

Matt and I spent New Year’s and the surrounding days in downtown Denver. You can look back over my instagram photos for a true Denver recap, but New Year’s Eve looked like this:

We typically see a concert on NYE and this year was no different. When the balloons and confetti drop at midnight while the band starts a well-loved song…well, you can guess why we love it so much.

Now that we’re home though, it’s time to hit the reset button. The five days spent wining and dining in Denver were wonderful for the psyche but not as helpful to the wallet or waistline. I’ve had quite enough sugar and I can’t even tell you how excited I am by the thought of a kale salad.

Seriously, I can’t even believe I just typed that. But it’s true!

And while I could eat the kale salad at Cleveland Heath for every meal (oh, I could – here’s the recipe), I think the reset button may also apply to the old bank account as well. It’s a good thing then, that I tend to post detox recipes around this time of year.

  1. I have a baaaaaad feeling that the CH kale salad is going to be making regular appearances at my house this month..

    • Have you had it at the restaurant? OMG I literally order it every time. It’s the definition of addicting.

      • Yes! Every time we make it to your side of the river to eat, it ends up being totally spur of the moment and I kick myself for not having checked your recommendations – but this one I somehow stumbled into myself! ;) Happy Snowmageddon!!
